For a black and white printable version of this file click here Vendor guidelines are listed in full in the market brochure which you will receive with your receipt when your space(s) are paid for. Please read all policies in that brochure. Some of the more important policies are listed below. 1.
All Vendors are expected to follow vendor guidelines, pertinent federal,
state, and local laws and ordinances, and exhibit appropriate vendor
behavior. 2.
Vendors must enter the market through the Vendor Entrance (see Vendor Lot Map) before 9 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday and show their Lot Receipt. 3.
Vendors must park one vehicle on their space.
Vendors may not park any vehicle, employee or family vehicle, or
trailer in the Shopper Parking Lots. Extra
vendor vehicles may park across US380 from the Vendor Entrance at no charge or
may enter the far west (Windmill) Entrance, pay $3, and park in the grass and
gravel lot east of the vending area. 4.
The trashcans are for shopper’s trash.
Vendors are responsible for keeping their lots clean and taking all
merchandise and personal trash with them when they leave the market. 5.
No vendors, except food vendors, are allowed to sell food or drinks including
cold drinks and water. Prior to applying, prospective food vendors should
contact the City of McKinney Health Department (972-547-7448) to inquire
whether or not their concession equipment meets the requirements for a
McKinney Health Department permit. 6. Rental rates are listed on the Rent a Space page. Vendors who do not sell on Friday pay an
additional $10 per space. 7.
Vendors may not sub-lease their lots or rent spaces in more than one location. 8.
First time vendors are encouraged to sell all
3 days of the market--Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 9.
Once you have rented a space on the Reservation Day,
you may retain that space for the following month by paying for it within 5
days after the existing market. 10. If you wish to switch spaces, pay for
your space and then call the market office between 1 and 4 p.m. on the fourth
Monday of the month. 11.
Vendors who sell dogs/puppies pay $100 per
space and may not display more than 15 dogs per space. Puppies must be displayed in a cage or
confined area off the ground. Dog
vendors must provide the purchaser with a Bill of Sale, a warranty, vendor’s contact information, a record of shots, any
necessary registration papers, and a refundable 72-hour period to have the
dog checked by a vet. Dog vendors
should provide a copy of their Bill of Sale/Warranty with the application
form. 12.
There are no refunds on reserved spaces, and, if a vendor cannot attend a
particular market, he must notify the office within 72 hours prior to that
market. 13. The market and
its owners are not liable for any personal injury or property loss caused by
theft, calamitous weather or accidents.
